After a visit to Rwanda and Kenya in 2017 that marked his first time on the continent, Ma had launched a $10 million fund for African entrepreneurs.

There is no further news on Ma’s agenda in Nigeria beyond the summit in Abuja.

He is the second global tech founder and investor to visit Nigeria in one week after co-founder and CEO of social media service, Twitter, and mobile payments company, Square, Jack Dorsey toured the country.
